Once finished, we load up once more and drive for another fifteen minutes to the UNESCO National Park grounds, our destination for hiking, bird watching and being one with nature. From the park you can see the western side of Kingston completing its panoramic view. Our time here normally takes up to two hours. After, we load up in our transport and start heading back down the mountain, making an optional stop for something to eat at one of the local spots, which normally takes less than an hour. Finally, forty five minutes later, you will get dropped off at your hotel and escorted into the lobby where the hotel will be informed that you have arrived back “Safe and Sound”. Immediately upon leaving the hotel your tour guide will start providing information and history of the area and its landmarks. The first destination is a drive around downtown Kingston, where you will see historical architecture, market places, old train stations, seat of government, Courts, Main Street, major business areas, Memorials of National Heroes and major churches… and that’s for starters. After downtown, which should take approximately an hour and a half, we head uptown along a route that will introduce you to our military base, libraries, play theaters, National Stadium, wealthy residences (Beverly Hills) and the largest University in the Caribbean, which was once a sugar plantation and rum factory. We then head to the Hope Botanical Gardens, the Chinese Garden and the Bob Marley Museum. Two hours later, everyone should be hungry so we top off the trip by visiting the grounds and garden of the colonial Estate of Devon House. Devon House is known for its premium ice cream with large serving portions and specialty bakery that is loaded with Jamaican meat pies (patties) and delectable sweets. Finally, you will get dropped off at your hotel and escorted into the lobby where the hotel will be informed that you have arrived back “Safe and Sound”. You will be picked up at your hotel in Kingston. We will meet you in the lobby and provide a five minute summary of the tour, answer any questions and board the transport. Immediately upon leaving the hotel your tour guide will start providing information on the areas you are passing through. Fifteen minutes later, you will be driving through a main country side mountain pass with homes, farms, and rivers as we head to the North coast of the island. The guide will keep you informed on the various landmarks, areas and its history. It’s a must for pictures and we will be happy to take some for you. Approximately forty five minutes later, you will be on the north coast, then we will turn west and follow the coast line into the old Spanish port town of Port Maria where we will stop and visit some landmarks, grab a snack and take “post card” pictures. Thirty minutes later, we are back on the road and heading along the coastline to the tourist town of Ocho Rios.
